a lifesaver on a long flight with kids,
If you need to travel by plane somewhere good luck that in itself is a nightmare these days, but if you add the added stress of a 3 year old its stress to the 10th power. The stress was greatly reduced with the purchase of this DVD player. The price was right and the size and portability were great, and most of all it kept my daughter occupied as well as another little boy on the plane who was a handful to his parents. I used store bought DVD’s as well as homemade DVD’s and the player played them all without missing a beat. The included battery lasts about an hour and 45 minutes, and it does not make it for an entire 2 hr. movie. I went online to try and order an additional battery, and just as I suspected, I need to purchase a generic one that one type fits all since the company does not seem to provide any infrastructure or support for this product, it’s pretty much disposable unless you want to use AC power all the time. If the battery does go, it can be used with the electric plug and with a voltage inverter in the car, which will be a great help when travelling by car. Despite the battery shortcomings, this is a great unit for the money.

I purchased this DVD player because my other player lasted only one year. Picture and sound quality are OK for the price, $61.00 with free shipping. This unit is perfect for my intended uses; on the boat, at the mountains camping. Good unit for the price!

|WASTE OF MONEY,
I have used this player about a dozen times. It has now started to freeze up while playing my DVD’s.
At first I thought it was the DVD I was trying to watch. First disk of the first season of Miami Vice. I’ve had this DVD for a while and it has been viewed many times.
However, when I put it in my DVD player, attached to TV, it played fine. No freezing or skipping.
I’ve had this portable player for a while – but as I already stated – it has not been used much.
I did try a new DVD movie and had same problem.
If I could give it zero stars I would.
